last week, i (with 3 other chaperones) took 16 youth from our church to bangbing village in yunnan, china. if you can see on the map, it's very near the myanmar border.
it took us 2 flights and over 7 hours on a bus (total) to get there.
we helped build sinks at a middle school, picked and made tea, taught english, and played with kids.
the worst part? no toilets or running water for 4 days/3 nights!!
